Sharpshinned Hawk

This male Sharpshinned Hawk spent a few days hanging around the SeattleBirdCam in late December 2006. He even tried to eat at the suet feeder!

A SS Hawk has also been hanging around Magnolia. I wonder if thats why the Chickadees don't visit as often? I've seen him 2 or 3 times now, wither on the light pole across the street or in the Pine tree next to it. Do they eat Chickadees? I wish it would get the 4 squirrels that empty my suet feeders every day!
