It's Spring
At least according to the local birds.
In the last week the Chickadees, Song Sparrows, and Bewick's Wrens have started singing, the Flickers have started calling, and the Anna's Hummingbirds have started their courting flight displays. Yesterday I saw a pair of Bewick's Wrens hopping around the neighborhood blackberry bushes, looking for a nesting spot.
It seems too early to me, but I've put up a birdhouse for the Chickadees, just to be sure.
